About the Role:
Regenosine is seeking a highly motivated, innovative, dynamic and experienced scientist who can work independently with limited oversight. As part of a small start-up the overall role will be much broader than defined below. Suitable candidate should be flexible to keep up with rapidly changing objectives and willing to wear multiple / different hats. The role will give the candidate the opportunity to be part of a growing venture backed start-up, and be an integral part of a team involved in commercialization of therapies for musculoskeletal tissue regeneration.
To perform the research duties, a suitable candidate should possess a high level of professional/scientific skill, and knowledge in cartilage biology, purine metabolism or musculoskeletal tissue regeneration is preferred. It is critical the candidate has good knowledge of the scientific principles, methods and processes (technical and/or theoretical) used to conduct a systematic and objective inquiry including experimental design, methods of data collection and analysis, and interpreting and reporting of results is required, along with the ability to operate instruments and equipment, and proficiency in related information technology. Candidate will also be responsible for interfacing with external collaborators and contract research organizations to oversee projects, timelines and deliverables.

Education:
-PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Bioengineering, or related fields.
-Postdoc experience in the above field is a plus

Essential skills and experience:
-Experienced cellular biologist with a strong hands-on background in cell culture, derivation and characterization. Experience in cartilage biology is highly desired.
-Demonstrated familiarity with mRNA sequencing, small RNA sequencing and/or next generation sequencing, processing and analysis,
-Deep understanding of musculoskeletal biology, molecular biology, metabolism, transcription and translation mechanisms
-Experience handling cells and possibly transgenic mice, including designing and analyzing experiments to quantitatively characterize physiology, metabolic phenotypes and cellular growth properties under different conditions (disease models, transient gene suppression) highly desired
-Published in peer reviewed journals and/or has prepared patent applications, excellent written and oral communication skills,
-Interacts with all individuals in productive ways to enhance the outcome of the goals of the research program, such as ability to accept and give direction and constructive criticism.
- Experience/familiarity with drug development, clinical development, quality & regulatory plans, intellectual property management or business development would be considered a plus
