Position Description

We are looking for a Senior Research Associate to join our Global Biotech & Specialty Pharmaceuticals team in New York. Our industry teams are typically only two or three professionals in number, and you will have a high level of responsibility and be empowered to make an important contribution.

As a Senior Research Associate on the Biopharma team, you will:

  • Acquire expertise in life sciences sector and the issues facing these dynamic companies and the industry by working with a Senior Analyst who is a seasoned industry expert 
  • Become adept at in-depth analysis of your industry and companies
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and make significant contributions to our highly differentiated written product and forward-looking financial analysis
  • Develop relationships with institutional clients, sales, trading as well as interact with senior management of companies in your industry

Our Senior Research Associates should meet the following general criteria: 

  • Track records of outstanding academic performance or professional acheivement 
  • Excellent broad-based analytical skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level
  • Advanced life sciences or medical degrees preferably combined with an MBA or finance qualifications such as the CFA
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the life sciences sector (specifically Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, or Medical Devices) in a consulting, research or commercial capacity

Strong preference is given to candidates who:


·         Have worked for biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies at the corporate level, or in related areas such as management consulting to biopharmaceutical companies

·         Have therapeutic area knowledge across one or more disease areas

·         Are familiar with the global regulatory/commercial dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry

·         Have advanced scientific or medical degrees, preferably combined with MBAs or finance qualifications such as the CFA or CPA
