Role Description:
This internship will provide a view into the work of our research specialists. Modules will focus on research data management and scientific data processing and analysis. The intern will be provided with an initial hands-on approach to learn about day-to-day tasks and segue into independent projects where they can present their work. The work is highly immersive, and there will be opportunities to interact with and learn about the firm through primer sessions and social events.
Please note this is a data focused position and not an analyst track. We do not make investment decisions or recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Undergraduates entering senior year up through recent master graduates with a wide range of backgrounds in biological sciences, chemistry, molecular biology, mathematics, computer science, among other subjects.
- Candidates must have strong time-management, communication, data analytics, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- A highly proactive approach to work with good comfort level working in ambiguous environments.
- High level of organization and attention to details.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Prior experience working independently on projects.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
During the program, the intern will:
- Understand the research specialist's role, associated responsibilities, and practices.
- Shadow and participate in day-to-day responsibilities.
- Attend and annotate weekly meetings with the team.
- Apply technical and soft skills to project assignments.
- Conduct an independent review of project assignments.
- Analyze data in Excel and other platforms, propose and deploy strategies.
- Present findings and learnings to the team.
- Contribute to SOP generation and team updates.
