Position Summary

We are seeking a Research Analyst to join our public markets investment team in New York. The role focuses on fundamental research and diligence across public and late stage private biotechnology companies, therapeutic areas, and drug programs, supporting both investment decision-making and portfolio management.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys digging into clinical data, scientific literature, and company disclosures to form independent, differentiated views on therapeutic potential and valuation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep scientific and clinical diligence across biotech companies and drug programs
  • Analyze clinical data, regulatory materials, and scientific literature to assess probability of success and differentiation
  • Build and maintain financial models to support investment views and portfolio decisions
  • Maintain coverage on biotech companies, integrating scientific, clinical, and market insights
  • Evaluate competitive landscapes and pipeline differentiation across therapeutic areas
  • Prepare concise research and investment materials for internal stakeholders

Qualifications

  • PhD and/or MD preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant investment experience (sell side biotech equity research or buy side experience)
  • Experience covering public biotech companies and forming investment views
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
