Job Description
AIHC Capital is seeking to add an investment professional. The person will work closely with CIO and investment team to initiate and evaluate biotech investment opportunities in both private stage and public equities, with a focus on clinical-stage therapeutics.
Responsibilities -
• Conduct scientific diligence for various therapeutic areas in biotech, including both scientific (gaining in-depth knowledge of therapeutic areas pursued by covered companies, drug mechanisms and their associated safety/efficacy profiles, clinical trial design strategies, etc.) and non-scientific (analyzing intellectual property, financial status, market opportunities, etc.).
• Attend investor events, sell-side conferences, and medical meetings, and meet key opinion leaders and industry experts.
• Maintain internal databases relevant to new and existing drugs in development.
• Other duties as assigned; we expect this position to grow in responsibilities.
Qualifications -
• Exceptional academic pedigree, including a higher degree in a biology/pharmacology/medical degree (Ph.D. or M.D.).
• Qualities including critical thinking, attention to detail and curiosity are the must.
• Ability to assess the quality and reliability of published data, with a hunger for experimental details, to accomplish deep primary research, analyze and draw conclusions.
• Proven ability to work well with team, self-motivated, showing initiative, and a willingness to work hard.
