Job Description
Cellular Longevity Inc is an early-stage biotechnology company developing drugs to help dogs live longer, healthier lives. We are developing some of the first drugs specifically designed to slow aging and increase healthspan and lifespan.

The Role
We are hiring a Principal Scientist, External Opportunities. You’ll work with company executives to identify external opportunities such as research collaborations, in-licensing, and government grants. You’ll work across specialties from pre-clinical drug development to finance. This role is for someone who is ambitious, scientifically rigorous, independent, and wants to prove their ability to execute if given the resources to do so.
Your daily work may include:

Reading literature and keeping up to date with the latest ideas and data in the aging field.

Spearheading opportunistic projects, studies

Meeting with academic researchers and planning collaborations

Reading and writing patents

Search and write grants; creating opportunities for grants that are not necessarily already available
This role can grow to as much responsibility as you can execute on. For the excellent candidate, you may have the opportunity to grow a team underneath yourself over the next year. This is an especially good role for someone interested in eventually starting their own company.
Who You Are
Education & Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a STEM field.

PhD or equivalent experience/context in a STEM field.

Preference to candidates with experience in consulting, program management, venture capital, or similar field. If you are coming straight out of academia, you should have demonstrable experience in working fast, managing timelines, leadership, and organizational excellence.

You do not need to have experience in business development.

Logistics

Currently remote. Preference to candidates who will be based in San Francisco post-pandemic.

$100,000 - $130,000 per year depending on your background & preferred ratio of salary to shares, with full-coverage health/dental/vision
