Overview of Patient Square Insights Associate or Senior Associate role:
We are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join the Patient Square Insights (PSI) team at Patient Square Capital. Patient Square Insights is an in-house scientific, technical, and market research team that brings a diverse set of expertise to health care investing. Candidates should have demonstrated scientific or clinical expertise (advanced degree preferred), plus experience in consulting, PE, investment banking, corporate strategy or other similar functions within health care. Candidates will drive market, technical, and commercial diligence efforts in both growth equity and private equity investments.

Candidates should have demonstrated scientific or clinical expertise (advanced degree preferred), plus experience in consulting, PE, investment banking, corporate strategy or other similar functions within health care. Candidates will drive market, technical, and commercial diligence efforts in both growth equity and private equity investments.
Qualifications:
- PhD, MD, or 5+ years in roles that demonstrate expertise in health care and biotechnology
- 2+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, business development, venture or PE, or other demonstration of experience in business and strategy within healthcare
- Experience in designing, deploying and analyzing qualitative and quantitative market research
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to simplify and communicate complex or technical topics
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to flex between projects and manage multiple workstreams concurrently
- Track record of engaging with senior management teams
- Team spirit and eagerness to collaborate

Responsibilities:
- Operate within a deal team to conduct diligence in collaboration with investment professionals
- Conduct and leverage primary and secondary research to evaluate potential opportunities and inform investment decision-making (e.g., run calls with experts, assess clinical and commercial potential from publicly available sources, run surveys, etc.)
- Communicate findings with messages tailored appropriately for specific audiences
- Develop and maintain network of experts for technical or strategic input
- Contribute to build-out of Patient Square Insights capabilities and toolkit
- Attend conferences, generate perspectives, and build relationships in health care and biotechnology
