Yosemite is a healthcare VC that aims to make cancer non-lethal within our lifetime by investing in cutting-edge diagnostics, therapeutics, and digital health companies. The team has been investing since 2016. In addition to its venture strategy, the team has built an academic network with hundreds of grantees in cancer research world-wide. This academic network leads to differentiated deal flow uniquely positions Yosemite to accelerate therapy translation and new company formation.
To meet the ambitious goals of its founder and rapidly-growing team, Yosemite is searching for a passionate oncology-focused Investment Associate. Sourcing new investment opportunities through meetings with researchers, other investment professionals, management teams, attending conferences, etc. Sourcing could entail identifying new exciting startups for potential investment, or new and exciting science to potentially build a company around.
Diligencing potential investments to ensure they are financially and scientifically sound, in-line with Yosemite’s values, and have the potential to significantly help cancer patients and generate returns.
Supporting portfolio companies through ad hoc check-ins, strategic or operational support, fundraising, board director or observer positions, and other portfolio capacity building activities.
Analyzing, codifying, and regularly communicating key trends in cutting-edge oncology research, updates from existing portfolio companies, and investment proposals to the rest of Yosemite’s investment team.
Interact with limited partners to address their questions and requests for market analysis.
