NEXTBio is seeking an investment associate to join its team. The role entails all aspects of investment analysis and idea generation in close collaboration with the firm’s founders and investment team.

 

Specific responsibilities include:
• Screening and identifying potential investment opportunities across the biotech universe
• Conducting rigorous scientific, clinical, and commercial due diligence for drugs in development
• Maintaining detailed models of drug markets and commercial potential
• Participating in company meetings, key opinion leader calls, and industry conferences
• Contributing to the development of the team’s analytical and technical tools
• Contributing to the buildout and implementation of the firm’s proprietary AI-enabled data and analytical system
• Preparing detailed reports to document investment ideas

 

Qualifications:
• Advanced degree: MD or PhD in a relevant field, e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, etc.
• Track record of high academic achievement
• Ability to interpret scientific literature and analyze clinical data
• Exceptional quantitative skills. Proficiency in Excel is essential
• Demonstrated curiosity and passion for biotech investing
• Team player, integrity is a must.
