Bregma Capital is a long-biased, fundamentally driven, investment firm focused on the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. We invest in later-stage biopharma companies, specifically from post-Proof of Concept through commercialization.

The Role

Bregma Capital is seeking an Investment Analyst to join our San Francisco based team. This position is open to candidates transitioning from academia or clinical medicine, as well as those with prior finance or industry experience.

The Analyst will work directly with the Portfolio Manager to diligence and track public investment opportunities across the Biopharma industry.

Responsibilities

Perform scientific, clinical, regulatory and commercial due diligence and forecasting for potential investment opportunities

Build and maintain financial models

Conduct KOL/Expert calls

Attend investor conferences and medical meetings

Generate summaries/reports/presentations to communicate your findings

Qualifications

Education: Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred but not required. 

Experience: Flexible. Prefer at least one year of relevant work experience but will consider applications from candidates coming directly from academia/medicine.

Ability to critically evaluate primary scientific literature, clinical trial design (including statistics) and regulatory guidelines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation

Salary Range: $125,000 - $160,000 (Base Salary), discretionary annual bonus, benefits.
