Our funds invest broadly in healthcare, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, health tech and healthcare services.

 Position:  Internship for full time analyst/associate role – Opportunity Fund (Public/Private)

Job summary: This is a three-month paid internship with the opportunity to transition into a full-time analyst or associate role upon completion. During the internship, the intern will collaborate closely with the investment team, gaining hands-on experience in deal sourcing, due diligence, and deal execution.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of Vivo public investment team to conduct fundamental research on publicly listed and pre-IPO companies
  • Assist in the preparation of investment documents and other presentations 
  • Assist in monitoring market and Vivo private/public portfolio
  • Analyze in all aspects of the due diligence process
  • Perform market and competition analysis on the investment opportunities
  • Work as part of a small team to develop fact-based investment recommendations, providing creative and new ideas
  • Interface with internal/external legal, tax, finance and various support staff

Requirements

  • Scientific background with MD, PhD or PharmD preferred
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team
  • Excellent research ability, reading comprehension and summary skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical communication skills
  • Proactive self-starter, able to work under limited daily supervision.
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • In-depth knowledge of financial statements and investment valuation techniques is a plus
