Opportunity:    

Full-time in-house internship as part of Avoro’s Investor Relations and Marketing Team.  The length of internship will be determined by successful candidates’ availability and academic schedule. Based on business need and intern performance, interns will be evaluated for possible full-time roles at the end of the internship.

Ideal Candidate Academic/Experience Profile:  

·  Required: Bachelors Degree in either business/finance, life sciences, or communications.

·  Investor Relations, Marketing, Investment Banking or Communications internship or regular position in the life sciences industry or investment universe (hedge fund / venture capital strategies) a strong plus.

Internship Details:   Working under a Senior member of the Investor Relations and Marketing team. Interns receive real world experience and responsibilities.

Activities include (but not limited to):

- Support investor relations and fundraising efforts by coordinating investor outreach, meeting and conference logistics, travel planning, follow-up communications, and maintaining the fundraising pipeline and CRM activity. 

- Prepare investor reporting and marketing materials, including monthly IR reporting packages, quarterly venture reporting, marketing collateral, due diligence questionnaires, client requests, and presentation content. 

- Coordinate investor operations by partnering with fund administrators to manage subscriptions, capital activity, investor onboarding, portal access, and other day-to-day investor servicing needs. 

- Develop investment and portfolio content by maintaining portfolio performance and attribution reports, preparing call materials on key holdings and catalysts, summarizing investment team discussions, and conducting ad hoc research. 

- Maintain data quality and reporting processes by tracking investor activity, capital flows, investor balances, pipeline updates, and ensuring timely, accurate information for internal reporting and decision-making.

This role requires a curiosity and passion for the biotech/pharmaceutical industry. To be successful in this role, an individual must have a combination of communication and interpersonal skills, analytical abilities, and an organized, detail-oriented personality with the ability to multi-task. Interns are provided extensive exposure to Investor Relations and Marketing, making it an ideal role for someone looking to explore a career in this area.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications and Traits:

- Relevant industry experience – prior internship in investment banking or alternative investments (hedge funds / venture capital). Strong interest in biotech / healthcare investing.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills; Comfortable speaking to high level executives

- Strong analytical skills. Organized, detail-oriented and strong problem-solving abilities.

- Self-starter with strong work ethic, tenacity, and adherence to the highest standards of integrity.

- Highly personable nature and professional appearance 

Interns would need to be able to work full-time Monday through Friday from the Company office in New York City and not require sponsorship for employment in the United States.

In accordance with Section 8-107(32) as set forth in the New York City Human Rights Law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows: $1,000 per week
