Job Description
HealthCare Royalty Partners (“HCR") is a leading global healthcare investment firm with $5.9 billion in cumulative capital commitments raised that invests in healthcare companies and products across a broad range of therapeutics areas.
HCR is seeking a private Healthcare Research professional to join its team in Stamford whose responsibility shall be the following:
- Perform thorough analysis of target investment assets (primarily therapeutics) and companies
- Conduct investment due diligence by evaluating scientific literature, conducting physician interviews and surveys, interacting with sell-side analysts and speaking with key position leaders and commercial executives
- Build complex financial/product forecast models
- Develop deep disease and therapeutic knowledge and expertise
- Support business development activities by attending medical, banking and industry conferences
- The Associate will also work with other investment professionals on a wide range of projects including: investment analysis, transaction structuring, business development/sourcing, due diligence and portfolio monitoring and management
Ideal candidate should have the following background:
- 0-5 years of experience in one of the following:
- Sell side biopharmaceutical equity research
- Private equity/principal investing
- Healthcare consulting
- Pharmaceutical corporate development
- Deep knowledge of therapeutic areas, drug development and clinical/regulatory processes
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong academic record and superior analytical and communication skills
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work well as part of a larger team
- Advance degree (PhD, MD) in the biomedical field is strongly preferred
