Job Description
Ally Bridge Group is seeking a Research Analyst to join its team in New York. The Research Analyst will take an active role and work directly with the Portfolio Manager for the Firm’s public equity strategy to generate new investment ideas and evaluate companies within the healthcare sector. The public equity strategy launched in January 2018 and is dedicated to identifying investment opportunities across healthcare subsectors, including biopharmaceuticals, tools, diagnostics, medical technology and digital health. The public equity strategy seeks to maintain a diversified yet concentrated portfolio across public equities and opportunistic private investments, with a primary geographic focus in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Analyze, interpret and summarize preclinical/clinical study data, scientific literature, and other technical information
- Meet with company management
- Attend conferences, presentations and symposia to identify promising new investment opportunities
- Conduct due diligence with key opinion leaders and experts
- Build and maintain financial models
- Prepare investment memos on potential investments
Qualifications
- Priority will be given to applicants with MD or PhD degrees
- 2+ years relevant sector experience in either the sell-side or the buy-side
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills are required
- Strong data-searching and analyzing skills
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
