H.C. Wainwright was established in 1868 and is a New York City based boutique healthcare Investment bank. The company is dedicated to providing corporate finance, strategic advisory and related services to public and private growth companies across multiple sectors and regions.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for an Equity Research Associate to join one of our Healthcare/Biotechnology research teams at the firm.  As a Research Associate, you will develop expertise in the healthcare sector by conducting fundamental company and financial analysis, all under the supervision of a seasoned Senior Analyst. In addition to writing and maintaining company reports, you will be required to build complex financial models, interact with company management teams, and attend medical conferences. A strong work ethic, excellent writing skills, ability to multi-task, work long hours, and a collegial attitude is essential for success. As skills develop, we also expect our hires to launch and become the principal covering analyst on his/her own names.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be an exceptional writer.
• Be intellectually curious.
• Be proficient with numbers.  Bonus if familiar with financial modeling and Excel wizardry.
• Have a sense of humor.
• Be the sort of person others might describe as “wicked smart.”
• Be willing to be in the office in NYC 5 days a week when not traveling.

COMPENSATION: $125-175k base, commensurate with qualifications and experience
