Biotech/Spec Pharma Associate
Wolfe Research is seeking a Biotech/Spec Pharma Research Associate to join its Midtown New York based office. NYC-based equity research job covering: Biotech, Pharma, Life Sciences. This is an opportunity to work with a highly regarded analyst at a top tier research boutique as an associate on an expanding equity research team. The associate will report to the Senior Analyst and will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the Senior Analyst’s franchise including modeling, note writing, clinical data evaluation + IP diligence. Strong writing, modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required. As the associate develops, responsibilities will expand to include communicating with clients and sales/traders and participating in the creative process.

We are a large team and work very closely together. We have a very active dialogue with investors and C-level teams of pharma companies. There is a clear expectation that the candidate has a good attitude, is self-driven, very intellectually curious and can figure things out very quickly + work well in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

We are considering 2 different backgrounds for this position 1) individuals with hard sciences backgrounds or 2) individuals with a financial background that are willing to put in the hours to learn healthcare quickly.
- 1-2 years of experience in sell-side research, buy-side, investment banking program, public accounting, HC Consulting firms or industry experience is desirable
- MD, PhD may apply but are not required
- Comfortable working investment banking hours (including late nights and weekends)
- A basic understanding of financial modeling
BA required, concentration in science, finance, medicine, accounting, or math preferred.
