Summary: Top investment bank is seeking an Equity Research Senior Associate with deep scientific background to support Biotechnology Analyst and Senior Pharma & Biotech analyst (#1 ranked SMID Biotech/4x ranked team).
Responsibilities will include:
Conducting proprietary research evaluating drug pipelines by analyzing preclinical and clinical data, attending medical conferences, and speaking with key opinion leaders
Building and maintaining financial models
Writing research reports for companies under coverage
Creating statistical models/analyses of clinical trials
Interpret and analyze industry/company news, patent law and litigations, and clinical data
Conceiving and executing differentiated project ideas
Communicating with company management, internal sales and trading personnel, and institutional investors
Key qualifications:
Advanced degree (PhD/MD/PharmD) in life sciences – immunology/neuroscience/oncology experience is a plus
Ideal candidate qualities include competitiveness, drive, strong work ethic, creativity, desire to be great, enthusiasm to learn, and a team player
Sharp analytical skills in dissecting preclinical/clinical data
3+ years of experience in biopharmaceuticals equity research, buy-side, healthcare consulting, or biopharmaceutical industry is desirable but not required
High proficiency in written/verbal communication
Statistical background/Python is desirable
Experience with clinical trial statistics and designs are a plus
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $100,000 - $120,000.
