Ideal candidates will have good working familiarity with the biopharmaceutical sector.  If coming from the biopharmaceutical industry, candidates will ideally have been employed in a business function such as sales & marketing, business development, portfolio assessment, R&D, medical affairs.  Alternatively, candidates may come from consulting firms that have consulted to biopharmaceutical companies.  Also, candidates may have gained the requisite knowledge from working in a similar financial role already, either on the "buyside" or "sell-side" in the healthcare/therapeutics space.
