SilverArc Capital was founded in June 2012 and has operated healthcare focused long/short hedge funds and SMA’s (the “hedge fund business”) since inception.  Within healthcare, SilverArc has a strong focus on therapeutics/biotechnology, investing at all stages of drug development. We also invest in other healthcare subsectors including medical devices, diagnostics and tools. The assets under management for the hedge fund business are currently in excess of $950 million.

In 2024, SilverArc launched SilverArc Private Fund I, L.P., its first dedicated private equity/venture capital fund through its affiliate, SilverArc Private Capital Management.  SilverArc’s private effort represents a collaboration with an experienced industry executive who has directly or indirectly been involved with multiple multi-billion dollar exits and is highly regarded and very experienced.  The private fund has raised over $21 million out of a target of $25million and remains in its marketing period.  We are currently looking for an analyst with meaningful venture/private equity experience in therapeutics that is seeking a highly entrepreneurial opportunity to help build a private fund franchise (multiple funds) in a partner level or partner track position.  In particular, we are looking for a candidate with several of the following characteristics: 

• MD, PhD or undergraduate degree in biological science  
• Minimum of three years of experience in evaluating private therapeutics companies*
• Deep understanding and experience related to the full venture capital life cycle
• Industry experience within the biopharma sector
• Passion for evaluating development stage biotech companies  
• Thrives in a less-structured, entrepreneurial environment
• Experience in capital raising for a private equity/venture capital fund

*Senior candidates would be considered for partner level positions and junior candidates for partner track positions.
