What you’ll do:
The Global Analytics & Insight mission is to improve the quality of the decisions taken on our assets and across our Disease Areas through the generation of excellent market, customer and competitor insight and analysis. This role will focus on our emerging portfolio and will lead a program of insight, analysis and forecast generation in support of a variety of PH3 investment opportunities.
The key to excelling in this role is your ability to turn analysis into a clear story and recommendations suitable for use by senior leaders. To develop these, you will be a critical thinker capable of delivering well researched, verified and relevant analyses in a clear and impactful way. As such, you will need to possess a background understanding and refining problems through to delivery of options for leadership. This requires the ability to lead without authority alongside strong analytical and communication skills. You will be comfortable formulating cohesive, strategic arguments which may be used to respectfully challenge a group of experts.
In addition, you need to be resourceful, motivated, decisive and proactive. You must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-growing organization and be confident working with incomplete data.
Provide strategy shaping market and customer analysis
Employ a range of resources and techniques to forecast revenues in a consistent, transparent and robust manner and value assets to support investment decisions and resource planning.
Be responsible for developing deep therapy area knowledge bridging from clinical development through to commercialization.
Lead the integration of insight and analysis from a variety of sources to inform material decisions through delivering robust, opportunity-focused forecasts. To achieve this, you will consolidate data from a wide range of sources into actionable brand opportunities.
Be responsible for the development, delivery and team alignment of the product/brand forecast and related assumptions.
Ensure interpretation of primary market research is generating actionable insights.
Work closely with AZ colleagues to lead the generation of competitive analysis for an opportunity, ensuring that implications are reflected in forecasts.
Support licensing opportunities where relevant.
You will have one or more of the following:
Post-doctorate experience (ideally in a science or maths based discipline)
Relevant experience within a large advisory firm.
A background in Pharmaceutical investment banking analysis.
