Job Description
Revelation Partners (“RP”), is seeking an Associate to join the team in Sausalito, CA (outside of San Francisco). RP is dedicated to growth equity healthcare investing and invests broadly across healthcare sectors with a focus on commercial companies with proven business models or companies with novel technologies that have clear clinical and regulatory pathways. RP actively invests in the following healthcare verticals: medical devices, biopharmaceuticals, healthcare IT, diagnostics, research tools, and healthcare services. RP has a flexible investment mandate allowing the firm to match its capital to the needs of the investee – whether that is growth capital or secondary capital (including shareholder liquidity, continuation vehicles, employee liquidity, fund spinouts, etc.). This flexible mandate allows RP to access the top companies in the healthcare space.
The RP team totals 18 individuals with 12 members focused on sourcing and making investments. The team has over 75 years of combined investment experience in healthcare and currently manages over $2.2 billion of committed capital.
RP’s unique, flexible investment strategy will give the Associate exposure to multiple stakeholders before and after the investment process including high quality private companies, general partners of other venture firms, as well as large multinational healthcare corporations. Associate candidates must have strong analytical capabilities, financial modeling proficiency, excellent written and oral communication skills, and experience in the healthcare sector. Candidates should be intellectually curious and possess a strong ethical character. A solid academic record is a plus. Given the firm’s small investment team, the Associate will be expected to hit the ground running taking a proactive role in conducting extensive pre-investment due diligence and research as well as helping execute and manage the investments. The Associate will work directly with the partners and will have the opportunity to get involved in every aspect of the investment process from sourcing and diligence to portfolio management.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Two to three years of exposure to the healthcare sector either from investment banking, private equity/venture capital, consulting, equity research or the secondary marketplace (candidates must be able to provide strong references at the appropriate time)
- Financial due diligence and strong research skills are a top priority.
- Excellent modeling and valuation skills. Candidate must be highly quantitative and analytical.
- Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a high-level of maturity.
- Must have a proactive attitude with good business judgment and passion for investing.
- A solid academic record is a plus.
- Science or engineering undergraduate preferred, but not required.
The compensation for the role is expected to range between $250k - $350k and will consist of a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
