We are a pharma and biotech-dedicated long-short equity fund founded by an experienced therapeutics investor. We are looking to build an investment team driven by intellectual curiosity, teamwork, and a collective dedication to winning in the market. As part of a small and tightly knit team, the analyst will have opportunities to investigate companies in a wide range of therapeutic areas and business stages, learn closely from a successful portfolio manager, and make highly visible impacts on fund performance. 

Reporting directly to the PM, the analyst will be responsible for fundamental scientific/medical research, sales projection, and/or financial analysis to provide actionable investment recommendations and track target company performance.

This role is based in our New York office in Manhattan. 

Responsibilities:

- Compile and analyze data from medical literature, company reports and SEC filings.

- Conduct market research through physician interviews and alternative channels such as social media.

- Meet and maintain relationships with management teams.

- Build market and valuation models using proprietary data sources.

- Provide investment recommendations supported by detailed analysis and present updates through the investment cycles.

Skills/Experience:

- PhD or MD degree preferred. 

- Prior investment or equity research experience preferred. 

- Detail orientated, fact-based investment approach, with a demonstrated interest in therapeutics investing.
