Job Description

Vivo Capital is a global healthcare investment firm that has been investing for over 20 years. Our investments across multiple funds and strategies are driven by a value and growth-oriented investment strategy, combined with extensive medical and scientific expertise. Our funds invest broadly in healthcare, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, health tech and healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to develop independent and fact-based investment recommendations, providing creative and new ideas
• Review the preclinical development package of new drug candidates
• Perform market and competition analysis on the investment opportunity
• Analyze in all aspects of the due diligence process
• Financial modeling
• Assist in the preparation of investment documents and other presentations 
• Assist in monitoring and management of current portfolio companies
• Interface with internal/external legal, tax, finance and various support staff

Requirements

• Minimum MS in Life Science or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare industry, which may include corporate business development, investment banking, equity research, venture capital, or consulting experience.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines; Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
• Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team
• In-depth knowledge of financial statements and investment valuation techniques is a plus
• Strong interpersonal, analytical communication skills
